Our mission is to care for those who have served. A variety of jobs awaits the individual who is service oriented and has a passion for assisting and caring for veterans and their eligible dependents.
The KCVAO currently operates two state veteran homes; The Kansas Soldiers’ Home (KSH) at Fort Dodge and the Kansas Veterans’ Home (KVH) at Winfield. At each of these locations we continually recruit for: Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Aides, Certified Medication Aides, Food Service Workers and Custodial Workers.

KCVAO Human Resources staffs an office at each home to assist applicants.
Our Veteran Services Program recruits veterans who are interested in assisting other veterans in one of our Field Offices or within the Enhanced Mobile Delivery Services Program. We also staff four state veteran cemeteries.
