Wreaths Across America 2017

Remember our fallen U.S. veterans. Honor those who serve. Teach our children the value of freedom.

Every December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at thousands of cemetery locations around the world including the four state veteran cemeteries in Kansas. The Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs Office operates cemeteries at
Fort Dodge, Fort Riley, Wakeeney, and Winfield. Our goal is to place a wreath on every veteran’s interment or inurnment site to remember and honor their service.

The national theme for Wreaths Across America 2017 is “I’m an American. Yes, I am.” And the ceremony is scheduled for December 16, 2017. Please go to the official Wreaths Across America website or like them on Facebook @WAAHQ to find out how you can volunteer or sponsor a wreath at one of our cemeteries.
