Memorial Day Services 2018

“To try and show our worthiness for our freedoms we must never forget and constantly remind our youth that over 1.1 million people have died throughout our history fighting for America.”
      Darin Reed, Memorial Day 2018

All four state veteran cemeteries hosted Memorial Day remembrance services on May 28th, 2018. Many times, our freedoms are taken for granted so we are charged with remembering and honoring all those who fought and died for this nation. We thank the many organizations and people behind the scenes That made the commemorations possible with their selfless acts of giving. Thousands of people attended this year’s events across the state as we continue the tradition of honoring veterans who paid the ultimate price. The state veteran cemeteries truly are fitting memorials and shrines worthy of being a veterans final resting place.
