Winfield Cemetery Compliance Review

Congratulations to the dedicated and hardworking crew at the Winfield Veterans’ Cemetery on the outstanding results of their recent compliance review!

Brett Billiter, Perry Voss, Tammy Morris, Joseph Sanchez, and Manager Chet Sweet (Pictured above), recently completed the on-site Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration’s compliance review. After having evaluators at the Winfield location for two days, the cemetery was found to be Compliant with the terms and conditions of its VA grant and they received a perfect score in the three categories of Interment Operations, Grounds Maintenance, and Other Standards. The cemetery program operates four veteran cemeteries in Kansas at Winfield, Wakeeney, Fort Dodge, and Fort Riley. For more information regarding this or any other veteran benefit please contact the Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Office at (800) 513-7731.
